Dead End is a Stunticon from the Revenge of the Fallen portion of the live-action film continuity family. Dead End (aka Detour) is not only a dark, depressed Stunticon, but he is also an energy-siphoning vampire. It is no wonder that even other Decepticons find him creepy. When he is not stalking the streets in sports car mode, Dead End can be found standing around in dark places, where his

Writers Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman deliver a tedious screenplay based on Hasbroâs Transformers action figures, thatâs geared to ten-year-olds who still play with toys, young men who still play with toys, testosterone-driven young men who havenât grown up, frustrated nerds who drool over the centerfold sexiness of Megan Fox, the usual fanboys and ignoramuses who foolishly think war is cool. Itâs a film that relies entirely on special effects (some $200 million worth) to give the viewer an action-packed roller coaster ride. The dialogue is incomprehensible, the human acting is more robotic than the machines and the story is more ludicrous than any story has a right to be. In other words, itâs a typical Michael Bay pic. If all that wasnât bad enough, thereâs Shia LaBeouf, a one-dimensional actor who never learned the art of acting, who screams about something or other whenever heâs on and is our designated hero to save the world. The nerdy college-bound Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) must leave behind his nitwit overprotective parents (Kevin Dunn, Julie White) and hottie mechanic girlfriend Mikaela (Megan Fox), who we first see leaning over a bike in her tank top and tight shorts and showing us her fine butt (now thatâs about as good as the acting gets in this pic). On his one day in the east coast college, the sex-crazed coed Alice (Isabel Lucas) gives Sam a memorable tongue job. But just as Sam is about to settle into attending classes, Decepticon forces return to Earth on a mission to take Sam as a prisoner because the teenager learned the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Joining the mission to protect humankind is Optimus Prime (voice of Peter Cullen), leader of the Autobots, who forms an alliance with the Feds for international armies to take part in a second epic battle. Also thereâs some nonsense about a yellow Camaro that transforms into Samâs robot named Bumblebee, acting as a guardian angel in emergencies. Meanwhile the Decepticons, led by Megatron (voice of Hugo Weaving) and The Fallen, try to destroy the world. It leads to a chase that winds up in the Egyptian desert, with the foursome of Sam, Megan, Leo (Ramon Rodriguez) and Simmons (John Turturro). Leo is Samâs obnoxious nerdy dorm roommate who tags along, while Simmons is the disgraced ex-Sector 7 government agent now working in his momâs deli before recruited by Sam. Also in the desert are the illiterate babbling twins, Skids (Tom Kenny) and Mudflap (Reno Wilson), who are particularly offensive as the racially stereotyped good guy Autobotsânow working for the government. Both the saviors and destroyers of the world, search in the desert for a buried treasure: an ancient matrix that will give life back to the alien Optimus Prime. It seems to hardly matter that thereâs an absence of narrative logic and the storyline is infantile, it all boils down to some fights with giant robots, metal clanking, deafening explosions and the fiery climactic desert conflict, in which the entire Valley of the Kings is destroyedâwhich include the pyramids. A truly disposable film that manages to vulgarize or destroy everything it touches. REVIEWED ON 6/28/2009 GRADE: D Dennis Schwartz: âOzusâ World Movie Reviewsâ © ALL RIGHTS RESERVED DENNIS SCHWARTZ

Watched Jun 12, 2017 Darren Carver-Balsigerâs review published on Letterboxd: A hideous piece of corporate cinema, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is just ugly film-making. It doubles down on the worst aspects of the garbage original (the totally unfunny humour, the objectification of the female characters, the unappealing military aesthetic) and adds even more tacky emotional moments and useless subplots (any scene involving Sam's parents is unwatchable). Beyond all those hideous features, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen fills itself with both incoherent action and storytelling. In all seriousness, is the plot explainable in any way which makes sense and justifies the endless plot holes and contrivances? I would be embarrassed to put my name on a script like this yet Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman not only turned out this turd but continue to have successful careers in writing hack movies of the lowest quality Hollywood offers (Transformers 3 & 4, Star Trek Into Darkness, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Ghost in the Shell, The Mummy). They deserve to be named and shamed for their net negative contributions to current cinema. However, considering the trio were paid $8 million dollars for this shit, I suppose they haven't got to work hard for their money. As for Michael Bay, a director who actually has a clear visual style, it's beyond insulting that he clearly makes Transformers movies without passion for nothing but a pay check (notice he keeps on quitting the franchise then re-surfacing for some reason). Overall, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is just despicable and the epitome of lazy Hollywood Ranked
It's a real shame that Revenge of the Fallen, which is a fun game to play on other systems, fares so poorly in its PC incarnation. Things get pretty explode-y when Transformers fight.
